Membership

Joining your Credit Union is very easy. Eligible members complete a membership application and make an initial minimum Share deposit of $5.00. A social security number and proof of identification are also needed in order to open an account. You can deposit to yout account at anytime either in person, by mail, payroll deduction, or by direct deposit.

Once you become a member, you can remain a member for life... even if you change employers or move away. Our only membership requirement is that you maintain at least $5.00 in your Share Account.

Altoona Regional Health System Federal Credit Union’s Field of Membership includes employees, doctors, medical staff, technicians, volunteers under hospital staff supervision, and full-time registered students of Altoona Hospital - Campus A, Bon Secours - Campus B, along with Doctors’ Offices, Ambulatory Services, and Associates of Altoona Regional Health System. Furthermore, the following are eligible for membership:

Members of record of Mercy Hospital Employees Federal Credit Union as of the effective date of this merger (October 1, 2005)

Employees of Rustic Barns & Sheds who work in Duncansville, Pennsylvania

Members of record of Altoona Veeder-Root Federal Credit Union as of the effective date of this merger (April 1, 2006)

Employees of Veeder-Root (Duncansville Plant) who work in Duncansville, Pennsylvania

Employees of Ansley & Lewis, who work in Duncansville, Pennsylvania

Employees of Champion Home Builders Co., who work in Claysburg, PA

Employees and members of The Summit Tennis and Athletic Club who work in Altoona, Pennsylvania

Family members of these people are also eligible for membership.

Once you're a Credit Union Member, you may always be a Credit Union Member, regardless of where you work or live.

If your Employer is not listed, ask your Human Resource Officer to contact the Credit Union for information on how they can start offering the Credit Union Products and Services to their Employees.
